Landscape Project: Debbie Steere shared the following update and volunteer opportunity related to the landscape project.
- The river rock was delivered yesterday, and a handful of people completed spreading it around the clubhouse. We are now headed down to the front entrance to spread the rock in that area. I was not confident of schedules so did not send any notification out. I now have a better idea of the sequence of events however there can always be unexpected changes.
- We are expecting a delivery of compost for the north front entrance on Friday morning. We will need volunteers to help spread it. Approximate start time will be 11am and continue throughout the day. If we don’t complete covering the area on Friday, we may need additional help Saturday, 11am or after. Saturday work is dependent on what we get done on Friday.
- Aside from spreading mulch, we expect plant delivery on Wednesday morning. Our designer will need to inventory everything before we get started. My best guess is that we will need planting volunteers from 12N onward. Our designer will be placing the plants where they are to be planted.
- We will also need some additional rhododendron pruning near the clubhouse and in the front entrance. We also would appreciate someone familiar with the process to coach and oversee any rhododendron pruning.
- Please note: we certainly do appreciate all the volunteers but the number one concern is for people’s safety. There are alot of areas with unlevel, unstable ground, rocks, roots etc. Many people also have limitations on what they are capable of doing. We want to emphasize safety first! Do not take on a task you are not comfortable doing. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me. Do not feel obligated to volunteer…we will get it done!
