Pierce Transit Runner is a new transit service in Gig Harbor. It provides transportation to work, school, shopping, medical appointments and connections to local buses. It also includes ADA-accessible rides for those requiring wheelchairs. They operate from 7AM to 10PM and can be scheduled for transportation by adding their app to your smartphone (PierceTransit.org/runner) or by telephone (253-581-8000 Option 4). How to Ride: 1. Create an account by downloading the Runner app. 2. Book a ride by entering your pick up and drop off address. 3. Meet your driver by checking the app to track your driver’s location. If you are not familiar with using apps, you can simply call to schedule your needed transportation or request assistance from Debbie Steere. The service is convenient, fast and is affordable at $2.00 or less.
